The Arkansas Football team is just days away from participating in the 2022 Outback Bowl against Penn State.

Razorback fans have been waiting years for this moment as the team has not experienced a bowl game in nearly half-a-decade.

There are several players for both the Razorbacks and the Nittany Lions who have decided to opt-out of the game and focus on preparing for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Here’s the full list of participants who you will not see competing in the game.

Arkansas Football players opted out of the 2022 Outback Bowl

  • Treylon Burks, wide receiver
  • Tre Williams, defensive end

Burks is one of the most talented wideouts in the SEC and has been pegged as a likely first round pick in recent NFL Mock Drafts.

Williams announced his opt-out hours after reports surfaced that he’d been arrested after falling asleep at the wheel of a vehicle in the drive-thru of a Fayetteville McDonalds.

Penn State players opted out of the 2022 Outback Bowl

  • Jahan Dotson, wide receiver
  • Jaquan Brisker, safety
  • Brandon Smith, linebacker
  • Ellis Brooks, linebacker

Like Burks, Dotson is an incredibly gifted receiver who has a case for being selected in the frist round of the draft. He recorded 91 receptions for 1,182 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Brisker has been listed as a top safety prospect in the draft as well, so it makes sense that he wants to opt-out to focus on preparing for the upcoming draft.

Smith and Brooks are going to leave a gaping hole of Penn State’s defense against Arkansas.

The Razorbacks and the Nittany Lions will kick off the 2022 Outback Bowl Jan. 1 at 11 A.M. CT on ESPN2.
