The Arkansas Football team is preparing to take on the Penn State Nittany Lions in the Outback Bowl 2022.

The Hogs (8-4) are facing Penn State (7-5) for the first time in team history. Arkansas is looking for just its third win over a Big Ten opponent. Their two previous victories came in 1964 against Nebraska and Northwestern in 1981.

Here are five things Razorback fans need to know about Penn State.

Penn State is no stranger to being in bowl games

The Nittany Lions— and this is not an exaggeration— are really good at the whole bowl game thing. They have the tenth-most bowl game appearances in college football history and the fifth-best bowl game record all-time, according to Winsipedia.

Penn State has made appearances in 50 bowl games and they are 30-16-2 all time in those bowl games.

Under current head coach James Franklin, the team has made seven bowl appearances in his eight seasons as coach.
