It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an Arkansas Football player trade in his pads for basketball sneakers to compete for the Arkansas Basketball team.

It got us daydreaming about some of the current players on the Arkansas football players who would be pretty exciting to watch on the basketball court.

Believe it or not, there are quite a few football players who have that mixture of size, speed and athleticism to compete on the court.

Let’s take a look at the first player who’d be a great fit.

Trey Knox would be the perfect candidate to play Arkansas Football and Basketball

Trey Knox, who is recorded being 6’5″ and 215 pounds, would be an excellent body for Eric Musselman to mold into a basketball player.

The wide receiver/tight end has a great ability to start and stop on a dime. He can make good cuts, evident by the receiving routes he performs on the football field.

Knox is built very similarly to that of DeMar DeRozan, one of the leading scorers in the NBA this season (26.8 points per game). DeRozan is 6’6″ and 220 pounds.

Knox has been an exciting football player and would be just as exciting on the court.
