The Arkansas Basketball team is preparing to embark on a very difficult part of it’s 2021-22 schedule: SEC play.

The Southeastern Conference boasts a handful of teams that are ranked or have been ranked at some point during the season, the Hogs being among those teams.

We’re taking a quick look at the first five SEC games on the schedule for the Razorbacks.

Dec. 29, at Mississippi State

The Hogs will travel south down to Starkville to take on the Bulldogs of Mississippi State. Currently, the Bulldogs are 9-3, with losses to Louisville, Minnesota and Colorado State.

Mississippi State’s best player this season, Iverson Molinar, leads the team in points and assists this season (16.9 points per game and 4.4 assists per game).

The Hogs will have their hands full trying to mitigate his effectiveness throughout the game. The Bulldogs have a very good defense. They allow just over 61 points per game, where as the Razorbacks allow 70 points per game.

I expect the Hogs to lose this one on the road.
