Thompson, who will be a senior next season, has increased his production year-over-year for the Hogs. The team will need hi to step up in a big way next season as he’ll be one of the leading receivers returning to the team.

This season, Thompson recorded a career-high18 catches for 292 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Seffner, Florida-native will be a consistent pass catcher for returning starter KJ Jefferson.

In 2021, Thompson’s biggest games came against Ole Miss (4 receptions, 76 yards, 1 TD) and Georgia Southern (1 reception, 60 yards, 1 TD).

The rising senior caught at least one pass in nine games this season and finished the season with the third-most receptions and receiving yards. He was tied for second-most touchdowns (2) with Tyson Morris and Blake Kern.

The 6’3,” 205 lb receiver came to the Hogs after playing for the Florida State Seminoles of the ACC from 2018-2020.
