After weeks of speculation, Arkansas football standout Treylon Burks has announced that he will opt-out of the Razorbacks bowl game and enter his name in the 2022 NFL Draft.

The junior from Warren, Ark. had a historic season for the Hogs, 1,123 receiving yards on 67 catches for 11 touchdowns. He also recorded 112 rushing yards and another touchdown on the ground, giving him 12 total for the 2021 season.

Burks opting out of the bowl game and heading to the draft is a no-brainer. This Razorback wide receiver had little more he could do to improve his draft stock. The only thing that could happen is he could become injured and greatly reduce his ability to earn a life-changing amount of money in the NFL.

What the 2022 NFL Mock Drafts are saying about Arkansas Football star Treylon Burks

The consensus among most NFL Draft experts is that Burks is a likely first-round selection in the draft, set for April 28-30, 2022 at the home of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Here’s what the experts are saying could be possible landing spots for Burks:

If Burks is selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, he’ll become just the eighth Razorback taken in round one since 1994. His combination of size, speed and skill will make him a desirable prospect for just about any team in need of a wide receiver.

He’ll join Frank Ragnow, Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, Jamaal Anderson, Matt Jones, Ahmad Carroll and Shawn Andrews as being first round selections in the NFL draft.

The Arkansas Razorbacks will take on Penn State Jan. 1 in the Outback Bowl on ESPN2 at 11 a.m. CT.
