The Arkansas basketball team hosted the Little Rock Trojans for the first time ever in a regular season game at Bud Walton Arena.

The Hogs previously played the Trojans in an exhibition game before the season started in 2019, but that is not a game that is recognized in the record books.

In the game that did count, the Hogs took care of business and defeated their neighbors from Little Rock 93-78.

Here are three takeaways from the Razorbacks eighth win of the season.

No 1. The Razorbacks are taking better care of the ball

It was ugly at times, but Arkansas got another “W” in the win column after defeating the Little Rock Trojans.

One main point of emphasis from Head Coach Eric Musselman has been to minimize turnovers. Well, the Hogs have been seeing game-over-game improvement.

Just in the previous three games, we’ve seen the Hogs make solid improvement.

Turnovers vs Penn: 15
Turnovers vs UCA: 12
Turnovers vs Little Rock: 8

In this game, Notae was actually responsible for three of the team’s eight turnovers. It’s an encouraging sign to see the team making strides to take care of the basketball.
