A thrilling and spectacular 2021 season has concluded for the Arkansas Football team, with just one item on the docket before turning the page into the offseason— a bowl game.

Just because the Hogs have one more game left, doesn’t mean there are players who are contemplating their future as an Arkansas Razorbacks football player.

The transfer portal has opened up and some players on the roster have good chances of being a high draft pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

We’ve compiled a list of five players who we hope are still on ther roster

Malik Hornsby, Quarterback for Arkansas Football

The redshirt freshman quarterback is in the unfortunate position of being behind one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC: KJ Jefferson.

Hornsby served as the direct back-up to Jefferson this season and saw some action this year against Texas A&M when Jefferson was sidelined briefly due to an injury.

Some believe Hornsby may have a better chance to play if he were to transfer, as Jefferson has solidified himself as the starter for as long as he wants to be in Fayetteville.

However, with the amount of running Jefferson does, he makes himself vulnerable to injury. Hornsby, albiet 50 lbs lighter, has some of the same tools as Jefferson. He’s a dual-threat quarterback that can zip past defenders.

Hornsby is still extremely raw in passing the ball, but perhaps something resembling a normal off-season will help him refine his arm and be ready to step-up in a hypothetical situation in which Jefferson cannot take the field.
