Arkansas Football: Latest buzz on Razorback bowl game, possible opponents

Gator Bowl: Arkansas Football vs Wake Forest

CBS Sports has a projection for the Hogs to head to the Gator Bowl as well, but this projection would have the Hogs facing the ACC stalwarts.

The Demon Deacons and the Razorbacks have yet to square off in a football game, according to Winsipedia. So, if this bowl game comes to fruition, it would be the first time these two team have competed against each other.

Ever since the arrival of Head Coach Dave Clawson in 2014, the Deacons have been to six consecutive bowl games (including this season).

Wake Forest was 10-2 this season, their best finish since 2006 and only the second time in program history that they’ve recorded double-digit wins in a season, according to College Football Reference. 

Wake Forest has a stellar sophoore quarterback who can absolutely sling the ball in Sam Hartman. He’s recorded the ninth-most passing yards in the nation this seaason with 3,711 and the ninth-most touchdowns with 34.

The Deacons are facing off against Pittsburgh Dec. 4 for the ACC Championship on ABC at 7 PM CT.
