Arkansas football: Latest bowl game projections before finale vs Missouri
Arkansas football vs Clemson
Gator Bowl
The Razorbacks could find themselves taking a trip to Florida to take an modern college football powerhouse Clemson (8-3), according to 247Sports.
Clemson has been an easy team to treat as a punching bag since it seems like they’re having a “down” year. If you look though, they actually have had a solid season.
They are the only team to push Georgia to its limit this year, losing 3-10 in the first game of the season. They lost in double overtime on the road to NC State, giving them their second loss of the year. The team’s third loss of the season was a 10-point beatdown by Pittsburgh.
Not bad for a team that lost a “once-in-a-generation” quarterback in Trevor Lawrence.
Fans would love to see a meeting between Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney and Arkansas Head Coach Sam Pittman—to really fun made-for-tv personalities.
Arkansas football vs Iowa State
Texas Bowl
In the latest projection from ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, the Hogs may end up in the Texas Bowl, facing the Iowa State Cyclones (6-5).
Iowa State may have buckled under the immense weight of the pre-season expectations, but they were able to show flickers of life by defeating then-ranked No. 8 Oklahoma State and Texas.
The team has lost four games this season, but never got blown out— their biggest loss was in Week 2 of the season against Iowa (losing by 10 points).
Iowa State Head Coach Matt Campbell has his team well-coached and would be a great opponent for the Hogs to face down in Texas.
The Razorbacks will soon find out which bowl they get an invite after the final game of the season against Missouri.
