Head Coach Eric Musselman and the Arkansas basketball team have only just started the 2021 college basketball season, but Razorback fans are already salivating at the thought of an absolutely stacked 2022 team.

Musselman just put together the best recruiting class in the history of Arkansas basketball. The Razorbacks have just been revealed as having the No. 2 overall recruiting class for 2022.

The class is headlined by two 5-star players, which is the first time Arkansas has ever had two such players in the same recruiting class, according to data provided by Arkansas Recruiting.

Four of the five players who have signed for 2022 are in ESPN’s Top 100 players, something only done once before in program history (Musselman, 2020).

Musselman nabbed the No. 1 recruit in the states of Texas, Alabama and Arkansas.

Who did the Arkansas basketball team sign for the Class of 2022?

Expectations and excitement for Arkansas basketball is at an all-time high. The Hogs are going to have a ton of talent coming to Bud Walton Arena and Musselman is the perfect coach to manage these young players.

Let’s meet some of the players who have committed to play for Eric Musselman and the Arkansas Razorbacks beginning in 2022.

No 1. Arkansas basketball signee Derrian Ford

6’3″ | 190 lbs | Magnolia, Ark.

The Magnolia High School product, ranked No. 68 in ESPN’s Top 100, averaged 23 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists as a junior.

Ford turned down offers from the reigning National Champions Baylor, Kansas, Auburn and 16 other teams before deciding to stay home and play for the Razorbacks.

The 4-star guard is going to give Musselman and the Hogs size on the perimeter and someone that’s a consistent scorer.
