Collins, whose Seahawks are on a Bye Week, made the trip to Fayetteville to revisit his old stomping grounds.
Alex Collins played at Arkansas from 2013-2015 under Head Coach Bret Beilema and produced some amazing stats for the Hogs.
Collins rushed for 1,000 or more yards in each of his three seasons with the Razorbacks and recorded an astounding 36 rushing touchdowns during that timespan.
Alex Collins declared for the NFL draft and was selected with pick No. 171 by the Seattle Seahawks.
He’s been one of the most durable and dependable running backs for QB Russell Wilson and coach Pete Carroll.
So far during this NFL season, Collins has recorded 74 rushes for 304 yards and 2 touchdowns.
The public address announcer at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium had this to say about Collins:
"Alex was only the third player in SEC history to open up his career with three consecutive 1,000 yard seasons on the ground and finished his career as the SEC’s active leader in career yards rushing."
Collins was no doubt one of the most exciting players to watch during his time with the Hogs. Fortunately you can still see him represent the Hogs at the NFL level each week when the Seahawks are suited up.
Alex Collins is one of several #ProHogs that are making an impact at the NFL level. Fellow former Razorbacks such as Hunter Henry, Brandon Allen, Jerry Jacob’s and Deatrich Wise have been playing at a high level this season.
