The Arkansas football team resumes play for the first time since routing UAPB in Week 8 of college football.

The Razorbacks will play host to Mississippi State at home Nov. 6 at 3 p.m. on the SEC Network.

Mississippi State is coming off a hot stretch in which they’ve won conference games against No. 15 Texas A&M and No. 12 Kentucky.

Predictions for Arkansas football vs Mississippi State Bulldogs

The Razorbacks have had some time to lick their wounds and regroup after going through an absolute gauntlet of SEC opponents.

The Hogs went through a buzz saw of then-ranked No. 2 Georgia, then-ranked No. 17 Ole Miss and now-ranked No. 13 Auburn.

The Razorbacks are searching for their second conference win of the 2021 season. Here are three bold predictions for the game.

No 1. Arkansas football QB KJ Jefferson will get back to playing great football

Hogs starting quarterback KJ Jefferson lit up UAPB for 4 touchdowns, despite only playing in the first half in the game prior to the Bye Week.

Jefferson has struggled at times during conference play. Obviously, in the game against Georgia everyone struggled to get anything going.

Against Ole Miss, Jefferson had one of his best games of the season, throwing for 326 yards and three touchdowns. Perhaps more impressively, he recorded a near-season high in completion percentage (71.4%).

Becoming more accurate is the last remaining piece in need of refinement for Jefferson. In other games this season he’s recorded completion rates of 57%, 46.7% and 61.5%. He’s going to have to get better at connecting with his receivers.

Against Mississippi State, Jefferson will do just that. With the extra week off, the quarterback will enter the game rejuvenated and focused. He’ll have a great game.
