SMU vs Houston is a game Arkansas football fans should watch this weekend

Arkansas football fans wanting a trip down memory lane should watch this matchup between old Southwest Conference rivals.

Southern Methodist (7-0) is ranked in the AP Top 25 and one of the few remaining undefeated teams in college football. They’re taking on conference foe Houston (6-1), who is soon to be headed to the Big 12 after the conference realignment dust settles.

This will be a game of great offense vs great defense—which will prevail in this AAC matchup?

SMU is lead by quarterback Tanner Mordecai, who leads the nation with 29 total touchdown passes so far this season. The Mustangs are one of the top scoring teams in college football (42.7 points per game).

Houston has one of the best defenses in all of college football. The Cougars allow just 17.3 points per game this season.

This is a game that might make you feel nostalgic, yearning for the good ole days of the Southwest Conference, but you’ll be treated to a show if you tune in to ESPN2 at 6 p.m. CT Oct. 30.
