3. Outback Bowl: Arkansas football vs Nebraska

Jan. 1 in Tampa, Fla.

24/7 Sports is currently projecting the Arkansas football team to get an invite to the Outback Bowl. A trip to the Outback bowl would be a first for the Hogs, as they’ve never received an invite in the bowl’s 35-year history.

A game against Nebraska would be exciting. It’d be just the second ever meeting between the teams. The first came back in the 1960s in a game at the Cotton Bowl.

The Scott Frost-led Cornhuskers are 3-5 this season, but would be an exciting matchup for the Hogs.

4. Duke’s Mayo Bowl: Arkansas football vs. NC State

Dec. 30 in Charlotte, North Carolina

Bleacher Report currently projects the Arkansas football team could play in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. This would be a de facto home game for NC State, as the game is played just 2.5 hours from their campus.

The Razorbacks and the Wolf Pack have never met each other for a football game, so this would present some intrigue. NC State upset No. 9 Clemson earlier in the season, proving that they can hang with teams big and small. The Hogs would have their hands full in what would amount to a road game.
