The Arkansas football team is coming off its most difficult stretch of the 2021 college football season when they faced teams who are ranked or were ranked at some point this season— Texas A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss and Auburn in consecutive weeks.

Not long ago, Arkansas football was at the bottom of the SEC. In fact, there were several experts who expected the Razorbacks to finish dead last in the SEC this very season.

The Hogs got off to an incredible 4-0 start to the season, including wins against two ranked teams, but have since been stuck and unable to win a game. Fans are getting discouraged, but you’ve got to remember how bad things were before Head Coach Sam Pittman took over.

A total tear down of the Arkansas football program was required in order to build it back into what it can and should be— a team that is regularly ranked in the Top 25 and nipping at the heels of Alabama in the upper echelon of the SEC West.

He’s creating a culture and setting a tone of how to win the right way. A rebuild requires patience and in my mind Pittman has plenty of capital built up by having the Razorbacks ahead of schedule. Typically, it takes years for a program to get on it’s feet after getting a new head coach, but not Arkansas.

Here are three hot takes for the rest of the 2021 Arkansas football season.
