A Herculean effort by sophomore quarterback KJ Jefferson was not enough for Arkansas Football team to overcome Ole Miss this week.

The Razorbacks suffered a heartbreaking 52-51 loss on the road in week six of college football, despite a six touchdown contribution from Jefferson. Arkansas was this close to pulling off the tough road win, but a failed two point conversion gave Ole Miss the win in an incredible shootout on the last play of the game.

Prior to the loss to Ole Miss, the Hogs were ranked No. 13 in the AP-Top 25 rankings and No. 16 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

The latest rankings have been revealed and we now know where the Arkansas Football team stands

In the USA Today Coaches Poll, the Razorbacks have slipped to No. 19. That’s a drop of just three spots in that ranking.

In the AP Top-25, the Hogs are now ranked No. 17, which is a drop of 4 spots in those rankings.

The voters appear to have given Arkansas credit and acknowledgement for beating two ranked teams in Texas and Texas A&M earlier in the season. The Aggies’ huge upset of No. 1 Alabama certainly makes the Hogs look good.

If Texas would have beat Oklahoma this week, the Hogs would be in even better shape.

Consider the Razorbacks lucky that we’re still ranked after two-straight losses. That should tell you everything you know about our team and the strength of the SEC.
