Arkansas Basketball Head Coach Eric Musselman was spotted with a former Dallas Cowboy and NFL Hall of Famer at AT&T Stadium

Eric Musselman, head coach for the Arkansas basketball team, gleefully posed with Emmitt Smith in a luxury suite while watching the Razorbacks football team work their way to a 20-10 victory in the Southwest Classic game.

Musselman made sure to give the Dallas Cowboys a shout out in his tweet, wishing them luck in their Monday Night Football game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys ended up winning that game 41-21, improving their record to 2-1 on the 2021 NFL season.

The former Dallas Cowboys great, Emmitt Smith, knows a thing or two about SEC Football, considering he spent his college career playing at the University of Florida under Head Coach Galen Hall from 1987-1989.

Arkansas has big ties to the Dallas Cowboys, considering team owner Jerry Jones played for the Hogs back in the 1960s, helping the team win a National Championship during his tenure with the team. Also, Jimmy Johnson, who served as Cowboys head coach from 1989-1993, was also a former player for the Hogs.

Smith is considered one of the greatest running backs in modern NFL history. Throughout Smith’s 15-year NFL career, he rushed for 1,000+ yards in all but four seasons. He scored 175 rushing and receiving touchdowns in his career. He did that across 13 seasons with the Cowboys and two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. Smith was elected into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2010.

It was a great moment for the Arkansas Basketball coach to rub shoulders with someone who exudes excellence— something Musselman tries to instill in his teams each season.

Eric Musselman now shifts his focus to preparing for the upcoming 2021-22 Arkansas basketball season. Practices are already underway for the Hogs basketball team, with their sites set on the first non-conference game of the season against Mercer on Nov. 9, 2021.
