Arkansas Football: After loss to Georgia, how far did Hogs drop in college football rankings?

The Arkansas Razorbacks suffered a tough loss against Georgia this week— how far did they drop in the college football rankings?

Entering the game against the Bulldogs, Arkansas was positioned near the top of the college football rankings. The Razorbacks were ranked No. 8 in the AP Top-25 poll and No. 11 in the USA Today coaches poll.

Prior to the start of this week, the SEC had seven teams at the Top 25 of the AP college football rankings; however, by the end of the week, the SEC suffered heavy losses.

Week 5 of college football saw nine Top-25 teams lose. Of those, four were ranked SEC teams.

Now that a whirlwind Week 5 of college football is finished the new college football rankings have been posted.

What are the Razorbacks at in the latest college football rankings?

With the latest rankings out, we now know the Hogs are ranked No. 13 in the AP Top-25 college football rankings. Associated Press voters only dropped Arkansas five spots in the poll.

As for the USA Today Coaches Poll, Arkansas is now ranked No. 16. The coaches likely valued the quality wins against Texas and Texas A&M and understand that Georgia is arguably the best team in college football.

Arkansas will do their best to regroup and recalibrate after suffering a  37-0 shutout to Georgia.

We now turn our attention to the next matchup for the Razorbacks. Head Coach Sam Pittman will have the Hogs ready to hit the road again for their next game against No. 17 Ole Miss, which is set for Oct. 9 at 12 PM ET on ESPN.
