Arkansas Basketball Head Coach Eric Musselman caps epic offseason by meeting an iconic rapper
The Arkansas Basketball program has been in great hands ever since the arrival of Eric Musselman in 2019.
Last year he helped guide the Hogs to the Elite Eight in the 2021 NCAA March Madness tournament. He’s produced a handful of NBA players, including recent lottery pick Moses Moody—Musselman has been on quite the hot streak.
Actor and N.W.A. rapper Ice Cube was in Fayetteville Oct. 1 for a concert. Musselman and members of his family stopped by to welcome the iconic rapper to The Hill.
Musselman posted a tweet in which he gave Ice Cube his own Arkansas basketball jersey. Ice Cube looked genuinely happy to receive the No. 1 jersey.
Ice Cube is a noted basketball fan and founder the Big 3 basketball league— a professional basketball league comprised of mostly former and retired NBA players competing in 3-on3 games.
Earlier in the day, Ice Cube posted a video to his 5.6 million followers sharing his excitement to be in Fayetteville to perform.
Eric Musselman is surely still riding high off the recent announcement that five-star recruit and central Arkansas native Nick Smith, Jr. has committed to play for the Arkansas basketball team in 2022.
Musselman hanging out with high profile celebrities like Ice Cube only helps garner the attention of highly coveted recruits. The coach will surely be looking to post photos with more of his famous friends and acquaintances.
The Arkansas basketball team has just recently started practicing for the new season and will play their first non-conference game against Mercer at home Nov. 9.
Musselman and the rest of the Arkansas basketball team will surely take some time to cheer for the Arkansas football team as they take on No. 2 Georgia in Week 5 of college football.
