Arkansas vs. Missouri Ends Hogs Streak, Have Key Performances

Good Performers in Arkansas vs. Missouri
Jaylin Williams, F
Even in his 17 minutes of play in Arkansas vs. Missouri, Williams displayed some traits that head coach Eric Musselman can use in future games. While he did not do a great job of rebounding, with only three on the game, his defense was terrific. Williams used his length well and altered shots at the rim. He also did something that we don’t usually see from young players, being that he drew charges and had the opposing offense confused at times.
His shot looked great in this one, even though he missed three of his four attempts. The one he made looked beautiful, and the ones he missed still looked great coming out of his hand. His high release will make his shot tough to guard in the future.
Bad Performers in Arkansas vs. Missouri
Desi Sills, G
Sills has been a huge bright spot for the hogs this season and has improved a ton from his freshman season just last year. He is known as one of the toughest players in the SEC, and he shows that every game. And that’s great and all; who doesn’t want a tough player on their team, but he hurt the hogs at points tonight.
He played 37 minutes, which is three shy of the full game. That is something we can get used to seeing Musselman do this season, especially with Sills, who was here last season. However, Sills went 1-10 from the field in that time and took some questionable shots. It feels like, at times, Sills gets complacent and shots too early in the shot clock.
I’m sure that Musselman has already spoken to the team about it, and has fixed their issues to prepare for Wednesday’s game against Tennessee, who just lost to Alabama.
