The college football season has not ended the way the Arkansas Razorbacks would have liked so now fans are curious as bowl questions loom.

With the Arkansas Razorbacks season having come to an end on Saturday against the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Hogs are waiting to hear whether or not they will be making a bowl trip. Losing to the Crimson Tide has not dampened the improvement the Razorbacks have shown this season. We will explore the case for the team to accept a bowl bid if given the opportunity.

Covid-19 has caused a number of bowl games to cancel. However, a larger number of bowl games are still there and inviting teams to come and compete. Several teams such as Boston College, Stanford, and SMU have decided to sit the bowl season out due to Covid-19. With more teams likely to follow suit, the Arkansas Razorbacks will end up with a bowl invitation. A bowl invite would be a big boost for a team looking to close out the year on a high note.

The primary reason that fans should want a bowl bid is it will give the team one more game. The seniors on this team deserve to close out their careers on a high note and a bowl trip would be a high note. Ten extra practices would put this team on a good pace for the spring as well. Not to mention winning a bowl game does nothing to hurt recruiting and that is something Sam Pittman and his staff have been focused on improving.

However, most of the activities that take place with the bowl game are likely canceled this season due to Covid. To me that simply means that the team will be able to focus on football and work on continuing to improve for the 2021 season. The positive far outweighs the negative here, the worst that can happen is losing in the bowl game. Coming off a 52-3 drumming from Alabama I say take the bowl game, or be stuck with the taste of that loss in your mouth for nine months.
