The Arkansas Razorbacks recently beat the Lipscomb Bisons in Fayetteville with a final score of 86-50. Winning this game puts the Hogs at 4-0 so far in the season.

The Arkansas Razorbacks basketball team recently played Lipscomb at home this past Saturday, and added a win to their record. Lipscomb is not a team that people should just look over, as they do have a few tougher games at the start of their schedule. Before playing Arkansas, Lipscomb battled with Cincinnati and lost by 12 points.

This was a game that was definitely a team win, as only really one person stood out more than the rest. Everyone else played good, but not great as the team defense was spectacular.

Arkansas Great Performances:

Moses Moody, G

This one is almost a given, as Moody has looked to hit his strides. He did not start the year particularly well, but has had a great past few games. It is looking like Moody will be the go to scorer on this team unless something changes throughout the season. His ability to get to the free throw line, and know them down is unmatched for someone his age.

With 18 points, Moses Moody lead the team in scoring but also made some critical plays to help this team jump out to the lead they had. At 6’6″ he has also showed his ability to rebound at the guard spot, pulling down five rebounds a game and eight against Lipscomb.

Vance Jackson, F

Jackson started the season well, scoring 15 in game one against Mississippi Valley State. However, the following two games against North Texas and UT Arlington Jackson combined for 29 minutes played, zero points, and five rebounds. Games like that just wont cut it, and coach Muscleman probably was not the biggest fan of his play either.

However, last game against Lipscomb Jackson broke out of his slump. He scored ten points on a couple three point makes and a trip to the free throw line where he was perfect. If Jackson can contribute games like these, the Hogs will be a tough matchup. Jackson is a player that does not need to score 20 to be a contributor.

Jalen Tate, G

The senior guard transferred from Northern Kentucky and has immediately made an impact for the hogs. While his stats don’t look the best, he is a piece maker on the court. This young Arkansas team has a tendency to get all rattled up, and Tate can control things with his play.

He only had six points, but his defense and ball distribution is what set him aside. His 6’6″ frame and long arms help him on the boards and on defense. Tate had a block and four rebounds in this outing
