Jalen Tate, G

Tate has not played up to expectations, but that doesn’t mean he has played terrible. He is just now finding his role o the team, and is showing how valuable he can be in it. At 6’6″, Tate has an advantage over most other point guards and is a vital piece to the starting lineup with jis physicality and defense. His wingspan makes it easy for the Hogs to play more effective on defense when guarding the perimeter. Tate was able to use his wingspan well, as he played passing lanes and even stole it two times.

Jalen Tate leads the team in assist with just under four a game, while that is not the best. Tonight Tate was able to get his teammates to score four different times, but moved the ball very well in general.

The biggest stat that jumped off of the page in my opinion was his scoring. Tate put up 12 points tonight, which isn’t much but it is the second highest of the season for him.
