The Arkansas Razorbacks are scheduled to play Southern University after a game with Tulsa was cancelled due to COVID-19 situations. Southern University has played two games so far this season, making Arkansas their third.

The Arkansas Razorbacks are due to play Southern University this Wednesday at 7 PM. in Fayetteville Arkansas. SU is currently 0-2 with some losses against some great teams. Their last game was against Iowa, who is currently ranked number five and has maybe the best player in the country in Luka Garza.

While this team is not amazing, they do have some key players that can hurt the hogs in their matchup.

Key Players for Arkansas to Watch for:

Ahsante Shivers, G

Shivers is without a doubt their best scorer, and maybe their best player. The 6’4″ senior from Maryland averages nearly 17 points a game on 41% shooting from the field. He can also get his teammates involved even though playmaking is not his strong suit. Shivers averages four assist a game, and rarely turns the ball over.

Shivers is not a big three point threat or someone the hogs will have to zone in on from beyond the arc, as he shoots only 21% from downtown. The hogs main strength from last year is three point defense, which they lead the country in. This year is not as great in that category, however they will not need to worry about that with this player.

Jayden Saddler, G

Maybe their best all around player, Saddler can do it all. He is second on the team in scoring with 12 points a game, while also doing it consistently at 41% from the field. Much like Shivers, he is not a threat from three, as he has yet to make a three point field goal.

However, Saddler is a terrific rebounder at the guard position. Even at 6’1″, he still manages o average six boards a game and even had a game with eight rebounds against North Carolina Central.

He may be the best playmaker on the team, as he averages six assist a game as well. Also against NC Central, he totaled seven assist along with his 12 points and eight rebounds.

This team is not great, but this is college basketball and we all know anything can happen.
