The Arkansas Razorbacks are to take on the Florida Gators in the swamp this Saturday, but due to Sam Pittman being unable to coach because of Covid19 restrictions, this leaves defensive coordinator Barry Odom in the driver’s seat.

Coach Odom is no stranger when it comes to being the commander in chief of a college football team. Odom was the head coach of the Missouri Tigers from the 2016 season through the 2019 season; posting a record of 25-25 overall in his 4-year run with the Tigers.

With the talent and grit the Razorbacks have this season there is a possible chance that coach Odom could take two wins on Saturday. One being for the Hogs and the other being for his coaching record. Sam Pittman has been open with questions about Odom serving as the interim head coach against the number 6 ranked Florida Gators stating that he has full faith in Odom.

There is no doubt that the Razorbacks are not the superior team in this matchup against the Gators, but the Razorbacks have overperformed big time this season. Because of this outlier the Hogs have a punchers chance going into Ben Hill Griffin Stadium; don’t count them out until the final whistle is blown.

The Razorbacks have the talent to succeed come Saturday on offense and defense, but it will for sure be a gut check. The Hogs will have to be ferocious on defense and force the Gators to find a way to move the ball. Florida is coming off a big win against Georgia, but with Gators tight-end Kyle Pitts potentially not playing it will definitely make things tougher on the Gators offense.

The Razorbacks are walking into the lion’s den in this matchup, but the Gators should not sleep on the Razorbacks. The Hogs have proven that they can put up big numbers in a single quarter, but they must get into a rhythm and hit their stride for this to happen.

The Razorbacks sit at 3-3 on the season and are looking to make a push for their fourth win. Look for the Hogs to compete and if they do that; it should say something about this Razorback teams turn around this season. Big things are coming. Woo Pig.
