Losers

Rakeem Boyd, Senior RB

This one may be a bit obvious, but I felt it had to be brought up. Rakeem played below his standards and I think he would tell you the same.

After having a huge game last week, Rakeem came out slow against the Volunteers. Quite frankly, I believe he was outplayed by Trelon Smith in this one.

There were a couple of plays were Boyd didn’t react as quickly once he got the ball. A few of them resulted in him being either stuffed at the line, or just outside of the box.

Boyd also rushed for too many times to not have higher production. On 19 carries, he finished with just 65 yards. Meanwhile, backup running back Trelon Smith finished with 72 yards on ten less carries than Boyd.

The whole season it has been about him getting healthy. Well, he looked healthy last week. So what is it now? Whatever it is, Boyd should figure it out quickly. Or his draft stock will not look very good.
