Fresh off a victory over the Ole Miss Rebels, attention will now turn to former Southwest Conference rival Texas A&M.

With the win over Ole Miss over the weekend the Hogs were able to break a 12-game home losing streak. Arkansas will be going into the bye week this week and Sam Pittman and the staff have already shifted focus to the Aggies. With plenty of time to get to know the Aggies, we are going to look at the Ole Miss win and give a preview for this year’s version of the Southwest Classic.

The Arkansas Razorbacks defense continued to shine this week. Linebacker Grant Morgan earned SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance from last Saturday. Morgan racked up 19 tackles, one sack, three tackles for loss, and an interception against Ole Miss. The linebacking corps has been terrific for Arkansas this season. Bumper Pool and Grant Morgan have terrorized opposing quarterbacks this season and Arkansas fans should be excited in what they have seen from this duo.

Staying on the defensive side of the ball, cornerback Hudson Clark has come out of nowhere and is terrorizing SEC quarterbacks. Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral will have nightmares about Clark for the foreseeable future. Clark picked off three of Corral’s passes and helped the Arkansas secondary shut down the high-powered Ole Miss offense. Clark’s impressive performances have earned him a scholarship for the next semester and has made future opponents very aware of him.

Transitioning to the offensive side of the ball. Arkansas quarterback Feleipe Franks is continuing his solid play this season. Franks has thrown for 974 yards, eight touchdowns, and only three interceptions this season. Franks’ steady play has allowed the Arkansas offense to make better use out of the talented receiving corps they have. De’Vion Warren and Treylon Burks are each having excellent seasons and Franks is doing a great job of putting the ball in a position they can get to it.

The Arkansas Razorbacks have the week off this week and will prepare for the Aggies of Texas A&M. The Halloween matchup will be taking place in College Station. We will get to the know the Aggies this week as well as have our weekly recruiting profile and much more as the week goes on.
