The Arkansas Razorbacks have seen enough of the Ole Miss Rebels to develop some keys to the game.

What we have learned over the past three weeks is that Arkansas and Ole Miss are much better than fans thought they were going to be. The two teams have competed against powerhouse programs and given teams like Alabama and Auburn all they can handle. Going into Saturday, the Ole Miss Rebels and Arkansas Razorbacks occupy similar ground. We are going to go over some of the keys to this Saturday’s game.

Looking first at the Arkansas Razorbacks’ offense. The Arkansas offense will need to try and milk the clock. Ole Miss has an offense that is built to light up the scoreboards. Offensive coordinator Kendall Briles will have to tailor the game plan to limiting the number of possessions that Ole Miss will receive. Arkansas will have to make the most of the possessions that they receive and limit mistakes in the red zone.

Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, the Razorbacks are going to have to force some turnovers. Ole Miss has been incredibly good about not turning the football over. Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral has played some tough teams this season and has only thrown one interception. The Hogs’ defense will have its worked cut out for them. Pressuring Corral into mistakes will be key for the Hogs, forcing pressure will give Joe Foucha and Jalen Catalon an opportunity to make plays on the ball.

The final key to the game Saturday is special teams not making mistakes. Arkansas needs to make sure the little things like lining up correctly on punt coverage have been hammered out this week. Penalties on special teams have been way too common the past three weeks. Punt and kick coverage have improved over the past three weeks, and that trend will need to continue against the Ole Miss Rebels. It is really coming down to just doing the little things on special teams. Arkansas has proven that they can play against anyone and now is not the time to take steps backward.
