The Arkansas Razorback Football team will face Ole Miss Saturday, October 17th.
The hogs are facing one of the most dynamic offenses in the conference this Saturday. While Arkansas’s defense has looked great, it’s the offense that has fans worried. Last Saturday the Razorbacks played Auburn, where the offense scored 28 points. This week the Razorbacks will have star running back Rakeem Boyd back in the lineup to help them get things going. With the great game from backup back Trelon Smith, what can we expect from this offense on Saturday?

Trelon Smith is really good
Against Auburn, Arkansas was without one of their best offensive players in Rakeem Boyd. Backup running back Trelon Smith had a great outing in his first start as a hog. Even in harsh weather conditions, Smith picked up the slack and looked like a starting running back. Smith finished with 21 carries for 81 yards rushing, and also got in done in the passing game with six receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown. If Trelon can give the hogs even half of that on Saturday, this offense should be on point.
Rakeem Boyd so far this season
Over the years, Arkansas Razorback Football has been blessed with great running back talent. This year Rakeem Boyd is due to have another great season before entering the NFL draft. But so far this year hasn’t been everything Rakeem has expected. The first two games of the season were not his best performances. In week one against Georgia, who is a top ranked defense, Boyd finished with just 21 yards on 11 carries. Granted, 11 carries is not enough touches in a full game. In week two against Mississippi State, Boyd would have another down game with just 28 yards on just eight carries, although he did leave the game early due to an injury. This week Boyd has to come out swinging, while I also think he will need a little more touches to get it done. This is a player we have seen rush for over 1000 yards with a bad offense and offensive line. He is poised to make the offense around him better.

If the Arkansas Razorback Football program wants to be more recognized around the country, it starts this Saturday with a win. The game won’t be easy, but having Boyd back will help this offense in what I believe will be a great game on the ground.
