Arkansas football recruiting has been trending upward over the past few months and the momentum has continued into September.

The latest Razorback commit is a wide receiver out of Royse City, Texas, named Ketron Jackson. Jackson gives Arkansas fans a reason to get even more excited about the current recruiting class Arkansas is developing.

Jackson will provide Arkansas another talented receiver that the Razorbacks seem to be collecting. Jackson displays excellent speed and that will be a problem for opposing SEC cornerbacks. Arkansas fans will be impressed with Jackson’s ability to high point the football and make a difficult catch look easy. The most important attribute for a wide receiver is their hands and Jackson’s are solid.

The playmaking potential that Jackson will bring to Arkansas is going to allow offensive coordinator Kendall Briles to get even more creative with the offense. Jackson has the speed to stretch the field, but he can also create plays on the short and intermediate routes. Jackson has the breakaway speed to convert the shorter routes into a big chunk play, which is something is important in the SEC.

Jackson will need to add some weight to his frame. Jackson weighs in at 185 lbs and being that weight would get him pushed around a bit in the SEC. An area that Jackson will need to improve upon is route running. Jackson does not run the most polished routes and he tends to use his athletic ability to make the play. Adding crisper routes to his skill set will improve his career and most certainly make him an NFL prospect.

Arkansas football has 19 commits in the class of 2021 and the recruiting momentum is continuing to surge. Arkansas has now added four wide receiver commits to this class, so the focus on offensive playmakers has been an emphasis for Sam Pittman and his staff. As SEC, gets ready to kick off the only question facing Arkansas recruiting is, can the momentum continue?
