Arkansas Razorbacks baseball heads on the road for the first time in the season to take on LA. Tech in Ruston, Louisiana.

The Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team, led by head coach Dave Van Horn, make their way to Ruston, LA. The 24th ranked Diamond Hogs will be taking on LA Tech at Pat Patterson Park.

The Razorbacks are coming off of a 6 win streak that has led them through two three-game series sweeps. As the Hogs have remained undefeated this season, they also found themselves ranked in the top 25 this week.

Today will be game one of a two for the Hogs and the Bulldogs of LA Tech. Not only does Arkansas head down undefeated but the Bulldogs are awaiting the Razorbacks as they sit at a sweet 7-0 for the season. The Bulldogs are, however, not ranked.

The Bulldogs are under first-year head coach Lane Burroughs. Although they went 42-20 last season, the first-year head coach has already gotten LA Tech out to a great start. His career record is 120-113.

This is definitely going to be a challenge for the Omahogs. The teams are pretty evenly matched on offense. Arkansas is at a .295 batting average while the Bulldogs are at a .285.

The two are similar all the way down the offensive stat sheet. To me, I thought Bryant would have been scary with their insanely good pitcher but LA Tech could be just as challenging.

The first pitch will be thrown at 6 p.m. tonight in Ruston. If you live close enough to make it, definitely get out there and show the Hogs some love. If you are wanting to watch it on T.V., you’re going to be looking for CST or Cox Sports Television. Since chances are you don’t have that channel, I recommend listening to it on the radio or for your devices, download TuneIn radio and search Razorback IMG. Woo pig.
