Arkansas Razorback basketball player, Daryl Macon earns SEC Player of the Week after a huge game against Ole Miss.

Daryl Macon has taken the Arkansas Razorbacks basketball team on his back more than once this season. In his first year, Macon has proven that he is a vital member of this Razorback squad.

The junior JuCo transfer was expected to do big things this season but I don’t think anyone thought he would do quite as well as he has for Arkansas. In his first season, Macon has already sealed himself as a clutch offensive threat.

Macon ranks second for the Razorbacks in game and season statistics. His 13.7 points per game are beaten only by Dusty Hannahs’ 14.7. It’s not necessarily how many points Macon is putting up but more so when he does.

In the final seconds, Macon single handily took Arkansas to a victory at Vanderbilt via three free throws to get the one point lead. Like I said he’s proven he is clutch or like he said, he’s got ice in his veins.

Arkansasonline.com had an article today by Bob Holt about Macon and his clutch skill at the free throw line. Macon is shooting .879 at the line but like Mr. Holt says, it’s the 96.6 percent shooting during the last 2:30 of the games where Arkansas has won by eight or less that is really Macon’s shining moments.

Macon has done a lot this season leading up to the 30 points he put up against Ole Miss this past weekend. His ability to score and find a way to get points in the final moments of a close game is starting to become the norm for the junior. Hopefully, it doesn’t come down to it, but if anyone can be trusted in the final seconds against A&M, it’s Daryl Macon. Woo pig.
