Former Arkansas Razorback and Dallas Cowboys starting RB Darren McFadden underwent surgery after fracturing his elbow. But it’s the story behind the elbow injury that makes it even more sad.

We all love Darren McFadden, mainly due to his career at Arkansas. But since his arrival in the NFL,  whether it be his toe, foot, ankle or hamstring, the injury bug has struck him hard. In fact, there have only been a couple of seasons where McFadden has not missed a game due to injury.

But over Memorial Day weekend the way of getting injured to the saddest level possible.

Sometime over the weekend, McFadden dropped his brand spankin’ new iPhone 6S. In an act to save it, he freaking BROKE HIS ELBOW and underwent surgery.

Like what?

How in the world do you do that?

It’s like so sad that it’s almost impressive.

I just don’t understand why a guy like McFadden would want to save a phone. He makes the big bucks, he can go buy a new phone. A guy who is made out of glass should not be saving any other glassware. It’s not healthy and it only got him hurt.

Anyways, after word got out of McFadden’s little incident Twitter decided to have some fun with it.

Not only was this injury painfully hilarious, it also came at the worst time. The Cowboys recently named McFadden the starter for the 2016 season. Now with the surgery setting him back eight weeks and Dallas investing in rookie RB Ezekiel Elliot, there might be some trouble brewing for McFadden’s spot in the depth chart.
