Hogs in the NFL Combine: Grades and Analysis
Six former Arkansas Razorbacks participated in the NFL Combine over the weekend. The performance of these guys at the combine could determine where they land at the NFL Draft.
The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine has come to an end, meaning that the former Hogs have shown these NFL coaches and scouts all their talents. The six Razorbacks that were invited to the NFL combine this year were OL Sebastian Tretola and Denver Kirkland, RBs Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams, TE Hunter Henry, and QB Brandon Allen.
With the exception of projected first round pick Hunter Henry, the rest of these players had something to prove in Indianapolis. With Alex Collins being ranked as the third best running back in the draft, testing well at the combine would give him that boost of possible being the top back. Brandon Allen was in the same predicament. Quarterbacks like Carson Wentz, Paxton Lynch and Dak Prescott have been getting all the praise. Allen needed to show off his abilities of being an accurate and strong pro-style quarterback.
With a successful combine for all of our Hogs, hopes for them securing solid draft spots would be almost certain. I mean, knowing the talent that all six of them possess, what could go wrong?
Well….
Let’s just say the combine did not go so well. None of the Arkansas participants really made an impact. Of course, I won’t get into the specifics right now (I never spoil a good slideshow). But I can tell you that you might not like what you read, not that you like what I read anyway.
Because of Jonathan Williams not participating in the majority of the events this weekend, I will not be grading him. But the other five will still get my wrath.
Do you agree with me? Do you not agree with me? Did you not watch the combine because the NFL Network just isn’t hip enough for you? Vote in our polls on each page to let us know your opinion on the combine!
