Grant Morgan, brother of star wide receiver Drew Morgan, has chosen to be a part of the Arkansas Razorback Football team in 2016. Morgan is a 3 star prospect coming out of Greenwood High School.

We’ve always refer to our fan base as a family. The Arkansas Razorback family just got a little bit bigger, as Greenwood’s very own Grant Morgan will be coming up to Fayetteville to be a part of the Arkansas Razorback football squad.

Morgan took his unofficial visit to Arkansas on Saturday. Just a day later, he took the invitation to become a preferred walk-on, meaning that he is assured a spot on the team but unable to receive a scholarship. Morgan overlooked other interested schools like Auburn, Arkansas State, Michigan, and other in-state colleges to stick with Arkansas.

Grant Morgan is coming out of Greenwood High School playing multiple positions (MLB, OLB, FB, TB, H-Back, and WR). As a linebacker, Morgan made 149 tackles. His stats as in that position earned him the honors of being the 2015 Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Defensive Player of the Year.

While Morgan may be a stud linebacker at Greenwood, he can also do a lot of damage on the offensive side (you could say it runs in the family). Grant has also caught 11 passes for 283 yards in his senior season, opening up the option for him to be brought to the fullback position at Arkansas.

Whatever job that Grant Morgan is brought to do in his time at Arkansas, I feel that he has the potential to make a difference. If you watch the tape you can see a lot of similarities that he has with his brother. He’s quick, aggressive, and absolutely will not quit. The Morgan DNA so far hasn’t failed us in Fayetteville, and I don’t think it will anytime soon.

Woo Pig.

Grant and Drew both took their excitement about the decision to Twitter.
