#3: Jared Cornelius 69 TD Run vs LSU
Just like that we’re back in Baton Rouge. I mentioned earlier that the most satisfying thing about the LSU game was the fans leaving with 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Well why do you think they left so early? Because of Jared Cornelius’ 69 yard run for a touchdown. It was great play calling and great timing. LSU’s defense was already down in confidence, so running a play like that was perfect and caught them off guard.
That was the dagger for the LSU football team in the Battle for the Golden Boot, maybe even a dagger for their season. LSU didn’t have a very solid 2015 football season. Once they hit the real talent of the schedule, then heisman hopeful Leonard Fournette was being shut down and their quarterback role was nonexistent. Just two weeks before facing the Hogs, LSU was in contention for the College Football Playoff. But after getting absolutely demolished by Alabama and Arkansas, the Tigers were left without even SEC West title hopes.
Although Cornelius was the dagger for the Tiger’s hopes, it’s not like we killed them. You could say we stopped Fournette, but we really didn’t. Fournette did really well against us, we were just able to get enough points on offense to force LSU to pass the ball. Just a hint, passing is not LSU’s strong suit.
Now we’re ready to head into the top 2 plays from the Arkansas Razorbacks 2015 Football Season. I know what you’re thinking, what could they be? Well, you’re about to find out. So stay calm, brace yourself, and click on to the top 2 plays.
