#9: Jared Cornelius 58 Yard TD vs UTEP

Let us all go back to before all the craziness started. The Razorbacks came into this 2015 season being ranked 18th in the nation. As we all know, that quickly ended with the 16-12 loss to Toledo at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock…stupid Toledo.

But I think we should just forget about that stupid game to that stupid team at that stupid cursed stadium for a moment, and focus on the week before when the tears were out of joy. The Razorbacks opened up the season at home against UTEP, a game that they easily defeated the Miners 48-13. A lot of national eyes were on Arkansas for this game, as we were one of the most hyped teams for the 2015 season after the way we ended 2014. So at least against UTEP we showed the nation what we were made of.

One of our strengths for 2015 was the growing fire power in the passing game. Having receivers like Keon Hatcher, Drew Morgan and Jared Cornelius, the Hogs were expected to be firing on all cylinders. Well it turns out only Drew Morgan was going to get that chance this season, but UTEP was our one chance to get to see the gang all together.

The play that landed here at #9 was Jared Cornelius’ 58 yard touchdown on a screen play. We only saw flashes of Cornelius from 2014, that’s why seeing an explosive play like this made us excited for what he was going to show us the remaining 11 games. That excitement was quickly turned to garbage. The very next week we lost to that stupid team from Ohio, and in the loss to Texas Tech Cornelius broke his arm (and it was completely disgusting).

But everything turned out okay, and Cornelius still ended with an exciting season after his arm healed abnormally fast. Who knows, he may even have another top play on this list.
