#10: Dominique Reed 54 Yard TD vs Alabama

I’ll say it here and I’ll say it many times throughout the rest of this slideshow:

SPEED KILLS

. I don’t know how else to say it. Dominique Reed has been a force for this 2015 season, one that we did not expect but we are glad that we got. It seemed as if nobody could stop him in any of the games he played in this year. And with the competition that Arkansas faces, having someone with the playmaking ability that Dominique has can change a game.

Reed truly has been a game changer, but maybe not in this Alabama matchup. His touchdown shown above was one of the few exciting Arkansas plays in a game that was mainly three-and-outs. Although the Crimson Tide took the insurmountable lead in the second half, the Hogs were able to still make some progress and get 7 more points on the board.

The Alabama game was not something to be proud of. Arkansas was at a tough time in the season going into Tuscaloosa. We were still in the middle of trying to figure our offensive scheme. Also, we were coming off of a close win against the Tennessee Volunteers, and we just needed to get by Bama so we could arrive at a much needed bye week. Alabama held us to a season low 44 rushing yards, including only 26 rushing yards from Alex Collins. BA couldn’t really make anything happen either. He threw 2 touchdowns, but couldn’t complete half of his passes with Alabama’s defense getting to him quickly. Dominique led the team in receiving, having 3 catches for 77 yards.
