Battle Line Rivalry Trophy Revealed For Arkansas Vs. Mizzou

This morning the Arkansas Razorbacks official twitter account tweeted a picture of the new rivalry trophy that Arkansas and Mizzou will play for in the conferences newest “rivalry.” The trophy itself weights more than 180 pounds and stands more than four foot tall. It will take after the “Battle of the Boot” trophy and feature the outline of the two states on top of each other. However, it features a new wrinkle in that the middle will have an interchangeable middle silver inserts with the words Battle Line in either gold or cardinal. The color of the middle insert will be the team who won it last.

Like with the “Golden Boot” former Razorback David Bazzel was the designer, according to the Razorbacks official website, here’s a few facts about the trophy.

•   400 Gallon Tank: Because of the size and weight of the trophy it took the 2nd largest tank in North America and 4 workers to hold the trophy during silver plating.

The Razorbacks and Tigers have a Friday kickoff at 1:30 p.m. on CBS. Hopefully, the Hogs will come away with two golden state shaped trophies this season, as well as, its seventh win of the season.
