When Ole Miss lost to Memphis, this looked like a sexy matchup for the Razorbacks to pull an upset. At that point, the Razorbacks’ defense was making some improvements, particularly in the passing game. But after this weekend’s pass defense showing against UT-Martin, I’m a little more skeptical. The Razorbacks, all throughout the Bielema era haven’t performed very well, defensively, against spread orientated offense. Could this be the game to turn it around? We’ll see. Offensively, the Razorbacks will be fine. But if the defense can step up to the challenge and slow down a dominant Ole Miss passing game, then there could an upset coming for the Razorbacks. Will it happen? I have my doubts; Arkansas loses a close one 31-27.

The Hogs face a really tough match up against Ole Miss. They usually don’t do well against a mobile quarterback and the way their defense played against UTM doesn’t give me much confidence. I think Hogs do better than most people think but I don’t think they pull out the win. A tough environment with a healthy Ole Miss squad (who still aren’t happy about being shutout last year) doesn’t bode well for Arkansas. Hogs lose 42-32.
Alex Collins and the rest of the Arkansas running game will stay hot and the passing game will be sharper than usual. The D will be successful in putting Chad (Swag) Kelly’s offense to a halt, but of course will still manage to give up some nasty plays that will result in Ole Miss points. Our Hogs proved against Auburn that finishing a game is in fact possible for us, and that’s exactly what will propel us against the Rebels. The underdog Razobacks will pull off the upset in Oxford this Saturday by a score of 31-23.
P.S. I also predict a white wind suit/red cap combo from Coach B

This Saturday the Razorbacks have a lot of work cut out for them. Coming into the game as 10.5 point underdogs. and in a basically must-win position is a tough spot to be in. I see the Hogs on Saturday play like they did at Tennessee. They’re going to run the football effectively and have Brandon Allen make the passes he needs to make and nothing more. Overall it’ll be a tight game but the Hogs pull it out 24-21 at Oxford to not only keep their bowl dream alive, but their quest for the West Crown as well.
I would feel a lot better about this game if it was at home, but sadly, we have to go to Ole Miss. On the plus side, we can actually leave the state of Mississippi after the game, so in the long term we can’t REALLY lose. Both teams bring top 25 rushing defenses into the mix, but both have also had trouble stopping the pass. Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly has been a bit turnover prone, and 7 Hogs have had a pick this season. However, I’m just not sure the Hogs have enough firepower to win it on the road. I think Allen has a big day, but the Rebel Ackbar Shark Bears get revenge from last year. 31-24 Ole Miss.
The Arkansas Razorbacks are a feisty team. In all 4 losses, the Hogs have refused to go quietly, and have had opportunities to win late in three of those games. Since Tennessee, the Hogs are 3-1, and are playing their best football of the year. Ole Miss has looked shaky at times this season, but one thing they always do well is put up points. Arkansas has matured enough and is good enough to keep it close, but Ole Miss is just straight up a better team, especially at home. Rebels win 31-21.
