Going Ham: The Razorbacks Land Big Recruits and the Defense Struggles
By Cory Thone
On this episode of Going Ham, Razor and Cory start off with some bad news for the Arkansas Razorbacks. JoJo Robinson and Kendrick Edwards are no longer on the team. The Hogs depth chart at receiver is decimated by injuries, so you would think that Bret Bielema would let some errors slide. That has not been the case.
Robinson and Edwards were both highly touted receivers from Florida that will probably shine in a more pass oriented offense. They also free up a couple of scholarships for the 2016 class, which could be huge for Arkansas. Speaking of recruiting, the Hogs got some good news after the UT-Martin win in the form of a commitment from Jordan Carmouche from Manvel, Texas.
Carmouche is a 3 or 4 star linebacker (depending on who you ask) that is looking for immediate playing time. He has offers from 22 other D1 programs, but I’m assuming that seeing true freshman Dre Greenlaw lead the team in tackles helped sway his decision. Carmouche is teammates and good friends with another Razorbacks target, D’Vaughn Pennamon.

Pennamon is a 3 star all purpose back that is currently committed to Ole Miss, but has been flirting hard with Arkansas. Now that his best buddy Carmouche has committed to Arkansas, some experts are skeptical of his dedication to Ole Miss at this point in the season.
We also talk about the UT-Martin game, and try and figure out what the heck is wrong with the defense. There’s also a couple of potential transfers coming into Arkansas this offseason as well. Are the Razorbacks in danger of losing a couple kids to transfers of their own?
I also argued with an Ole Miss fan. Kentrell Lockett is the host of the 40 Yard Dash Show on Rebel Sports Radio. We talked about comparisons between Bielema and Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze. Both coaches are considered to be “players coaches” by the media because of how they interact with their players. Who is the better players coach? Bielema or Freeze?
