After a hard fought win in Knoxville last week, the Arkansas Razorbacks have a chance to do something that has only happened once in the last 15 years: Get back to back road wins.
The Arkansas Razorbacks have only won back to back road games once since the turn of the century. The wins came in Oxford and Nashville in 2011, when the eventual 11-2 Hogs knocked off Ole Miss and Vanderbilt in consecutive weeks. Prior to 2011, the last time the Razorbacks won back to back road games was 1998 with wins over South Carolina and Auburn.

So for the Arkansas Razorbacks, road wins have never been a sure thing. Hogs head coach Bret Bielema notched his first road victory at Arkansas with the win over Tennessee last week. It was a a big moment for the head Hog. It would be an ever bigger accomplishment to get back to back road wins.
On top of all that, Arkansas hasn’t won in Tuscaloosa since 2004, and hasn’t beat the Tide since 2006. Alabama has won 8 consecutive games against the Razorbacks. A win today for Bret Bielema and the Razorbacks would snap several long standing and negative traditions for the Hogs.
It’s all easier said than done, though, for Arkansas. The Crimson Tide are hosting the Hogs after thrashing a top 10 Georgia team on the road last week, and have already lost to Ole Miss this season. Nick Saban still has his sights set on a national championship, and can’t afford another home loss this season if they want to make the playoffs. The Tide won’t be overlooking Arkansas. It will take an excellent performance by the Hogs on both sides of the ball to break these streaks.
