Razorbacks Legend Madre Hill To Be Named SEC Football Legend
One of my all time favorite Razorback legends, running back Madre Hill, will joined by 13 others in the 2015 SEC football legends class. The ceremony will held December 4-5 in Atlanta for the 2015 SEC Football “Weekend of Champions”. The SEC Legends Dinner will be on December 4th. The Legends Class will then be honored at the SEC championship game December 5th.
Hill is probably best known for his 1995 domination of the Game Cocks, in which he scored a total of 6 touchdowns. Later on in the season Hill would rush 45 times against Auburn for win at War Memorial Stadium.

Madre would be named to the 1995 All-SEC first-team, as well as being honored as a member of the Arkansas All-Decade Team. He would hold the 1st place for the SEC with 307 rush attempts that year and 6th nationally. His 1,387 yards earned him 3rd place in the SEC for the 95 season. The 15 touchdowns he scored that year are tied for fifth for the best single season at Arkansas. Over Hill’s 1994-5 and 98 seasons, he would rush for 541 times for a total of 2,407 yards with 25 touchdowns. His career is tied for the sixth-highest in Arkansas history.
His contribution to Arkansas led the Razorbacks to 2 western division SEC titles and an appearance in the 1995 SEC championship game. The SEC title game would end in a loss to Florida.
Madre would go on to be drafted in 7th round of the 1999 NFL draft to the Cleveland Browns. He would only play 2 seasons, with one being at the Oakland Raiders, which led to Super Bowl XXXVII 2002.
