In the clubhouse (20 commitments)

Who’s Enrolled?

Will Gragg – Tight End – Dumas HS: He’s a 6’4, 252 pound 4-star player with significant size, strength and blocking ability. He joins an already impressive SEC tight end in Hunter Henry. Gragg is rated the 7th best tight end and the 5th best overall prospect in the state of Arkansas, according to Rivals.com.

Ty Storey – Quarterback – Charleston HS: He’s a 6’3, 220 pound 4-star player that fits perfectly into Bret Bielema’s pro-style formations. Storey has incredible arm strength, accuracy and consistency. However, he lacks mobility and needs to improve his release at the next level. He’s been rated the 6th best pro-style quarterback in the nation, 165th overall prospect and 3rd in the state of Arkansas, according to Rivals.com.

Jalen Merrick – Offensive Guard – New Smyrna Beach HS: He’s a 6’4, 310 pound 4-star player that brings aggressiveness and tenacity to the position. He has amazing drive blocking skills, but is significantly weaker in pass block situations. Rivals.com has him rated 14th at his position, 203rd nationally and 35th in the state of Florida. This kid is Coach Bielema’s dream player with his size and run blocking ability.

Jeremiah Ledbetter – Defensive End – Hutchinson CC: He’s a 6’4, 270 pound 4-star recruit with tremendous speed and agility. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.70 seconds. Ledbetter hasn’t been rated nationally because he’s a junior college transfer, but could make an immediate impact with the departure of Trey Flowers.

Hjalte Froholdt – Defensive Tackle – IMG Academy: He’s a 6’4, 292 pound 4-star player from Bradenton, Florida. He’s a great athlete who’s quick off the ball. Rivals.com has him rated 20th at his position, 221st overall and 37th in the state of Florida. Froholdt could also make an immediate impact with the departure of Darius Philon.

Zach Rogers – Center – Hebron HS: He’s a 6’3, 295 pound 3-star player with great strength, power and quickness off the ball. He’s ranked as a 4-star recruit by many scouts, but Rivals.com has him listed as the 50th best prospect in the state of Texas.

Daytrieon Dean – Defensive End – Northside HS: He’s a 6’3, 260 pound 3-star athlete from Fort Smith, Arkansas. Rivals.com rated him as the 9th best prospect in the state of Arkansas and 38th in the nation at his position.

Who’s Committed?

C.J. O’Grady – Tight End – Fayetteville HS: He’s a 6’4, 230 pound receiving tight end who’s decided to play for his hometown Hogs. He’s shown incredible hands and could become a significant downfield threat. However, he does lack some size and we’ll need to strengthen his core. O’Grady is rated 2nd overall at his position, 90th overall prospect in the nation and 1st in the state of Arkansas, according to Rivals.com.

Jamario Bell – Defensive End – Junction City HS: He’s a 6’6, 235 pound 4-star athlete that shows off amazing speed and agility at his position. He lacks some size, but his body control, quickness off the ball and change of direction is considered elite status. Rivals.com has Bell rated 11th at his position, 238th overall and 4th in the state of Arkansas. The trio of Bell, Dean and Ledbetter could become a force to be reckoned with in the future.

Rawleigh Williams – Running Back – Bishop Lynch HS: He’s a 5’10, 208 pound 3-star player that has shown wonderful elusiveness and instinct in high school. He lacks the breakaway speed, but is still poised to become part of the three-headed monster of running backs that already include Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins. Rivals.com rated him as the 42nd best prospect at his position and 64th overall in the state of Texas.

Dre Greenlaw – Safety – Fayetteville HS: He’s a 6’0, 215 pound 3-star defensive back that also played alongside Bulldog C.J. O’Grady. The hometown kid is rated 35th at his position and 6th best prospect in the state of Arkansas, according to Rivals.com.

Nate Dalton – Defensive Back – Cypress Falls HS: He’s a 6’3, 180 pound 3-star athlete from Houston, Texas. Dalton has the ability to play cornerback or safety at Arkansas, but will likely need to increase his size in the offseason. Rivals.com has rated Dalton 43rd best at his position and 69th overall in the state of Texas.

Colton Jackson – Offensive Tackle – Conway HS: He’s a 6’6, 305 pound 3-star player that has a great upside. Jackson has been rated 7th best prospect in the state of Arkansas, according to Rivals.com.

Blake Johnson – Punter/Kicker – Los Alamitos HS: He’s a 6’0, 190 pound kicker/punter from California. Johnson is a 3-star recruit, but has been rated 3rd best prospect at his position, according to Rivals.com.

Ryan Pulley – Cornerback – Island Coast HS: He’s a 6’0, 185 pound 3-star speedster that runs a 4.40 40-yard dash. Pulley isn’t nationally ranked, but could be Arkansas’ most surprising and underrated player heading into his freshman year.

Derrick Graham – Outside Linebacker – Hardee Senior HS: He’s a 6’4, 217 pound 3-star player from Wauchula, Florida. He becomes the 4th player from the state of Florida and he could also make an immediate impact with the departures of two outside linebackers from the 2014 team.

Austin Cantrell – Tight End – Roland HS: He’s a 6’3, 240 pound 3-star competitor who has great body control. He could add a little size at his position, but will be fighting with many other great tight ends for playing time.

T.J. Smith – Defensive End – Colquitt County HS: He’s a 6’4, 238 pound 3-star weakside defensive end from Moultrie, Georgia. Smith was originally committed to Vanderbilt, but flipped to Arkansas.

La’Michael Pettway – Wide Receiver – Nashville HS: He’s a 6’4, 194 pound 3-star player that is lean. Pettway is the 10th overall prospect in the state of Arkansas, according to Rivals.com.

Deon Stewart – Wide Receiver – Highland HS: He’s a 6’0, 163 pound 3-star athlete from Arkansas. He’s likely a slot receiver with quickness.

The Arkansas football team has put together one of their best recruiting classes in recent memory, but there’s still a few they could add to the list that ultimately bumps them inside the top 20. Among these 20 commitments, Arkansas has persuaded 4 prospects out of the talent infested state of Florida. They’ve also grabbed 8 of their own state’s top 10 players and are still in the running for the 2nd best prospect K.J. Hill.
