With 23 days remaining until the first pitch of the 2013 college baseball season for the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Hogs will take a preseason No. 2 ranking into the season by the publication Perfect Game as announced on Tuesday.
Arkansas is one of eight SEC teams to make the Top 25, the most out of all Division-I conferences, followed by No. 3 Vanderbilt, No. 5 LSU, No. 7 Florida, No. 11 South Carolina, No. 13 Kentucky, No. 16 Mississippi State, and No. 19 Ole Miss.
The Pac-12 had six teams listed in the Top 25 followed by four from the ACC, three from the Big 12, and one team each from the Big East, Big West, Conference USA, and WCC.
The Hogs while unlucky to have seven of the Top 25 teams on their schedule (Arizona State, South Carolina, Mississippi State, LSU, Oklahoma, Kentucky, and Ole Miss) they do miss out on playing top SEC East teams Vanderbilt and Florida during the 2013 college baseball regular season.
