After several weeks of key injuries suffered throughout the SEC very few new injuries or suspensions are reported for week six of the 2012 college football season. The big headline grabber is the suspension of Missouri Tigers wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham.

DGB was considered the No. 1 high school recruit in the nation for the 2012 class out of Springfield, Mo. Wednesday night Green-Beckham was arrested along with two other freshman teammates for possession of marijuana in the parking lot of Memorial Stadium.

All three players are suspended for the Tigers match up against Vanderbilt this week. Green-Beckham’s suspension of the three carries the most weight for Missouri.

For the first time this season Georgia appears to be as close to 100 percent as they may ever get during the 2012 college football season. The added depth comes at the right time for Mark Richt and the Bulldogs as they travel to Columbia to face the Gamecocks this week.

Alabama’s depth took a hit for the second week in a row when running back Dee Hart and wide receiver DeAndrew White were declared out for the season because of ACL tears. Hart, a top recruit in the 2011 class, injured his knee during summer camp last season missing the entire 2011 championship run of the Tide’s.

The starting quarterback carrousel at Kentucky continues to go around and around again this week. Maxwell Smith is out indefinitely making true freshman Jalen Whitlow the new guy under center. Whitlow (Prattville, AL) was considered the No. 12 dual-threat quarterback in the nation in the 2012 recruiting class.

The Razorbacks will be without their preseason All-SEC tight end Chris Gragg again this week and may be without the services of starting safety Eric Bennett (hamstring) and part-time starting cornerback Kaelon Kelleybrew (concussion).

The good news for Arkansas is starting cornerback Tevin Mitchell and Chris Gragg should only be a week away from returning to the field.

There is a possibility that the Hogs will use Mitchell on third down situations against Auburn this weekend. Until Mitchell shows he is back in game shape do not expect much playing time from him on the field if the Razorbacks can get by without him.
