The majority of the SEC is getting healthier while a few teams are still reeling from too many players in the trainer’s room than on the field heading into week five of the 2012 college football season.

Arkansas cannot catch a break, no pun intended, with their week in and week out injury status. The Razorbacks might be without their starting tight end Chris Gragg vs. Texas A&M.

The Hogs have lost starting fullbacks Kiero Small then Kody Walker for the year both in week two, starting cornerback Tevin Mitchell is out definitely after being hurt in week two as well, starting quarterback Tyler Wilson was out for half of one game and completely out for one full game, now the Razorbacks must deal with the possibility of losing one of the best receiving tight ends in the nation for who knows how long.

LSU is getting healthy with the return of four players to the field OG Josh Dworaczyk, DE Barkevious Mingo, WR James Wright, and S Craig Loston. Each player entered the Auburn game banged up but are expected to be ready to go verses Townson in time for their road trip next week to Florida.

Kentucky has 13 players that will be out or less than 100 percent this weekend from their preseason roster. Life does not get much better for Joker Phillips and his 1-3 Wildcats when the No. 6 Gamecocks come to town on Saturday.

Week five allows four SEC teams to rest up, prepare, and right the ship before going through the rest of their schedules.

Auburn played a physical game against LSU and could use the week to rest up. The Tigers will prep for Arkansas looking to avenge last year’s 38-14 loss to the Razorbacks next week.

Florida has a bye at the right time, they need to rest a few key players and the extra week to game plan for No. 3 LSU cannot hurt either.

Dan Mullen has to be as happy as he ever has been in his three years in Starkville. He’s 4-0 facing with a big conference win over Auburn. The Bulldogs get a bye before traveling to Kentucky, part of a three game stretch that could put MSU at 7-0 before facing Alabama on the road.

The toughest part of Vanderbilt’s (1-3) schedule is behind them (South Carolina, Northwestern, and Georgia); and James Franklin has to be relieved. Not that the rest of the Commodores schedule is easy but they will only face one more team that is currently ranked, No. 11 Florida. Outside of the possibility that Tennessee gets back in the Top 25 Franklin and Company will more than likely not face another ranked team the rest of the season.
