Fayetteville, Ark. – Over the weekend the Arkansas Razorback coaching staff added their thirteenth commitment to their 2013 class when linebacker Marcus Robinson verbally pledged with the Hogs.
Robinson, 6’3”, 210 pounds, took an unofficial visit to the Arkansas campus on Saturday and left as a future Razorback. The Memphis East High School prep star becomes the third linebacker committed to the Hogs’ 2013 class.
Rivals, Scout, and 247Sports all rate Robinson (3-Star) as a Top 20 player within the state of Tennessee. Rivals and Scout also rank the outside linebacker as the No. 32 linebacker prospect in the nation.
Robinson had a good showing at “The Opening”, an invitation only camp held by Nike leading to reported offers from USC, Ole Miss, Illinois, Mississippi State, Texas Tech, Purdue, Vanderbilt, North Carolina, and Clemson. Robinson earned MVP honors at the Nike Memphis camp.
During his 2011 junior campaign, Robinson recorded 92 total tackles, 13 for a loss, with one interception and 4 caused fumbles.
