Arkansas Razorback Baseball: Another Sanburn Commits to Hogs
By Ryan Wright
Fayetteville, Ark. – Without much fan fair or media coverage former Arkansas Razorback relief pitcher Nolan Sanburn helped guide another Sanburn into becoming a Hog.
On July 15, just two days after his big brother Nolan inked his deal with the Oakland A’s, Parker Sanburn verbally committed to the Razorbacks.
Sanburn, 6’1”, 178 pounds, is a right-handed pitcher out of Kokomo, Ind. just like his older brother. Sanburn already has a fastball that clocks in the low 90’s with time to range up into the mid 90’s, also like his older brother.
The Class of 2013 prospect struck out a team high 59 batters during the 2012 season. As a junior Sanburn totaled a 3-2 record with 1 save walked 20 with a 3.14 ERA. He also had a team high 11.6 K’s per 7 innings.
Kokomo finished the 4-A Indiana North Central season with a 10-12, 7-3 overall record.
I’m officially going to be a razorback! #WPS
